Welcome to the Black and White page of the Man in Green's website, these images have been regarded as being moody and dramatic, whether it is the dark atmosphere of York Minster, or fishing boats on Glasson Dock.



Black and white photography can be great fun as well as being evocative and expressive. This is something that I learnt whilst taking on a City and Guilds in photography, where not only did I take photographs, I have also developed films and printed the photographs in the darkroom, something that I enjoyed and always look forward to taking on again, as it is not only more individual that digital prints, a lot of time and effort is put into film printing, where the whole magic of the end result is appreciated.

The best sort of black and white is the dramatic views seen with infra-red film, something that I have a love for.
